Mrs. Glenda Porter Wheeler, age 73, of Lillington died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Brookfield Assisted Living in Lillington. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Carl F. and Margaret Holder Porter.
Mrs. Wheeler was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Wheeler.
Mrs Wheeler is survived by her son, Timmy Wheeler and wife Celena of Lillington; sister, Faye Morrison of Lillington; nephew, Michael Morrison of Lillington.
Funeral service was conducted on Thursday May 31, at Spring Hill United Methodist Church, Lillington, with the Rev. Terry Williams officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Family recieved friends from 6 -8 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at O’Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brookfield Assisted Living, 2041 NC 210N, Lillington, NC 27546
