Hilda Pinnix-Ragland to address business luncheon

Garner, N.C., Aug. 3, 2010 – The Garner Chamber of Commerce invites local women to join them for the Summer 2010 Women in Business luncheon presented by Progress Energy. The event will feature Hilda Pinnix-Ragland, Progress Energy’s vice president of corporate public affairs, and will be held Aug. 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Rand-Bryan House at 2518 Benson Road in Garner.



Pinnix-Ragland will speak on “Women Breaking Down Barriers and Creating Opportunities.”



Pinnix-Ragland serves on the board of governors of RTI International and the Wake Education Foundation board of trustees, is past chairwoman of the State Board of Community Colleges, and has earned numerous prestigious awards. She was also recognized as Tar Heel of the Week by the News and Observer.

Cost to attend the event:

$35 General Admission

$25 for Chamber members
