The Apex Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred at 1024 Shackleton Rd. at 1:27 a.m. Officers arrived at the scene and found one male victim with serious injuries to his right leg. The victim reported that he was shot in the leg by another male. Emergency medical personnel were summoned to the scene to provide medical treatment to the victim. The victim was subsequently transported to the hospital due to the extent of his injuries. The injuries are considered to be non-life threatening.
The area of the incident is safe and there is no immediate danger to the public. This is an on-going investigation led by the Apex Police Department Criminal Investigations Division. No further information is available for release at this time.
