The program seeks to educate College of Business Administration students by exposing them to the businesses of London, home to the sixth-largest world economy and the world’s largest international banking center. In the city that handles half of all European economic activity, students are able to meet with and learn from businesses such as Murphy Oil, Cargill, Wimbledon, the BBC and SKY Television.
Students have the opportunity to experience international culture on a daily basis, with trips to historical and cultural landmarks such as the 900-year-old Tower of London, Westminster Abbey and St. Paul’s Cathedral, Notting Hill/Portobello Road, the British Museum, London Eye, Shakespeare’s Globe Theater, The Royal Pavilion, castles, the British Open and the streets walked by Jack the Ripper.
The group studies in classes, visits with businesses and travels to the surrounding area for four weeks, which is followed by a two-week period of free travel.
Classes offered through the program include Strategic Policy, International Business and a Bible class. The program is in its sixth year of operation.
Harding also maintains international campuses in Australia, Chilé, France, Greece, Italy and Zambia. Nearly 40 percent of recent graduating classes have spent a semester at one of Harding’s international campuses.
