SECU Hospice House now accepting patients

The SECU Hospice House of Johnston Health opened June 28 after receiving final approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The 18-bed center, which offers palliative care for the terminally ill, is located on Hospital Road in Smithfield next to the National Guard Armory. A capital campaign of the Johnston Health Foundation raised more than $4.5 million from public and private sources to build the house. For information about services or referrals, call 919-209-5100.
