Nannie Bell Lawson, 77, of Apex, went to rest in the arms of the Lord on Thursday, June 17, 2010. She was born in Blacksburg, VA on November 20, 1932 to John Wesley Boles and Nannie Richards Boles. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Allen Lawson, and her son Jeffrey Dale Lawson.

She is survived by her children: Margaret L. Bullins (Donnie Wilmouth), Gilbert Allen “Pete” Lawson, Jr. (Hilda), John Allen Lawson (Cathy), Marlene L. Smith, Donna L. Howell (Tim), Melissa Kay Lawson and Wesley Wyatt Lawson (Emily Bass), her grandchildren: Allen Bullins, Kenny Bullins, O’Neil Bullins, Jade Lawson, Jeffrey Lawson, Dwayne Lawson, Eddie James, Tonya Lawson Wilkie, Shawn Lawson, Mike Howell, Robyn Ashby, Dave Smith, Timmie Howell and Nikki Lawson and her 21 great grandchildren. The family received friends Saturday, June 19, 2010, at the Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams Street, Apex. The funeral service was held Sunday, June 20, 2010, at the Apex Funeral Home. Burial was in the Apex Cemetery.
