The General Federation Women’s Club of Holly Springs is pleased to announce it has awarded scholarships to two local high school seniors. The scholarships are awarded based on the applicant’s character, scholastic record, leadership, and potential.

Stefani Renee Barham received a $1000 scholarship at the annual awards ceremony at Holly Springs High School on May 27. As well as being a student leader, Stefani was an integral part of the Holly Springs High School Theater Company. She served as president, was an actress, stage manager, and student director in many plays. Stefani plans to study Fashion Management and Marketing at UNC Charlotte starting this fall.

Elizabeth Sterling Windham, also a senior at Holly Springs High School, received a $500 scholarship.

Elizabeth was a member of the National Honor Society, vice-president of the Backpacking Club, Outstanding Keyclubber in the Key Club, and co-captain of the Cross Country Team. She participated in Varsity Women’s Soccer, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and was also a member of the Golden Hawk Ambassadors. Elizabeth has been involved in many community activities, received several academic honors, and taken part in numerous enrichment activities. She plans to attend Case Western University in the fall to eventually pursue a medical degree.
