C3 Church in Clayton North Carolina along with many local schools and businesses have join forces with Share Our Shoes a non-profit charity in Raleigh NC to collect gentle used and new shoes for those in need in Haiti and here in our community.
Over the past several weeks local school and business have been handing out flyers and collecting shoes in drop boxes in anticipation of BAREFOOT WEEKEND at C3 Church. This will be a weekend where C3 Church members, and the local partners will bring all of their efforts together to help those in need.
BAREFOOT WEEKEND is also a chance for C3 Members and anyone who would like to participate to place the shoes they are wearing on the alter during the three weekend services and leave church barefoot. This will be done to remind those participating of the people without shoes who suffer everyday.
One pair of shoes can make such a difference in someone’s life. There are over 400 million people without shoes in the world today and there are an estimated 1.5 billion unused shoes sitting in closets nationwide.
