According to Holly Springs Public Information Officer Mark Andrews, Ryan McNeil, 36, and Christen Horton, 28, both of Holly Springs, were arrested March 12 after a month-long investigation by the Holly Springs Police Department. Horton and McNeil lived on Holly Lane and were dating each other.
Horton and McNeil face three counts of misdemeanor child abuse and two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver crack cocaine and maintaining a dwelling place for a controlled substance. Holly Springs Police found six pieces of crack cocaine in the home, Andrews said. The couple had three children in the home at the time of the arrest. McNeil had two sons and Horton had a child. McNeil was in the Wake County Jail under a $60,000 bond. Horton was also in the Wake County Jail.
The couple’s first court appearance was on March 15. The children were place in the home of their grandmother.
