Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in Montlawn Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
A native of Wake County, Hugh began farming at an early age. Later, he drove a truck for Gregory Poole Equipment Co. and owned and operated his own business, Willow Spring Mobile Home Service. He and his wife are property owners at Lake Royale for over 25 years and he loved his family there.
Hugh is survived by his wife of 35 years, Fosteen Johnson Ogburn; children, Joseph Lee Ogburn and his wife Nicole of Willow Spring; Tammy Mayo Lee and her husband Greg of Goldsboro; Ricky Mayo and his wife Amy of Willow Spring; Deborah Mayo Mitchell and her fiancé Rodney McNeill of Broadway; grandchildren, Becca Lee Taylor and her husband Jake of Raleigh, Hannah Lee of Goldsboro, Josh and Courtney Mitchell from Angier, Sheila Wood of Coats, Chris Mayo, Tyler Williams, Lynlee Ogburn and Delanie Ogburn, all of Willow Spring; great granddaughter, Payten Mitchell of Willow Spring; brother, Dewey Calvin Ogburn of Willow Spring; niece, Molly Ogburn Cloud and her husband Doug of Willow Spring and a nephew, Joseph Calvin Ogburn and his wife Sarah of Fuquay Varina.
Hugh was preceded in death by his parents, Carr and Zelma Card Ogburn and his nephew, Carr Ogburn.
