Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at 2:01 a.m. on February 27, 2010 in the parking lot of Cook Out at 1433 North Main Street. When they arrived, they found an 18 year old male who appeared to have been shot. The victim of the shooting, Adrian Kyree Evans, 18, was transported to Wake Medical Center in Raleigh and was treated for his injuries.
The investigation, which included interviewing the victim, indicated that the shooting was an accidental shooting. Investigators conferred with the District Attorneys Office after gathering information and evidence. The case is closed at this time. No charges are being filed in connection with this shooting.
