Stop by the Garden Hut on Saturday, Feb 13 at 10a.m. and learn more about J.C. Raulston from local author Bobby Ward. Ward, author of Chlorophyll in His Veins: J. C. Raulston, Horticultural Ambassador talks about and signs his new book. Raulston is known as the most important and influential figure in American horticulture in the latter part of the twentieth century. He was the founder of the N.C. State University Arboretum, which is now the J.C. Raulston Arboretum, in Raleigh.
At 11am there will be a pruning demonstration by horticulturist and owner of the Garden Hut Nelsa Cox. Nelsa shows the proper way to prune many landscape plants in this fun and informative talk. Both events are free, but registration is requested by calling (919) 552-0590.
