John Deere Turf Care recognizes 2009 Holiday Card Contest Winner

Grace Elizabeth Heide’s artistic interpretation of a holiday scene celebrating the John Deere spirit won this year’s John Deere Turf Care Holiday Card Contest. Grace’s illustration of snow capped purple mountains behind a toy laden sleigh pulled by eight tiny pieces of John Deere mowing equipment caught the attention of the judges panel. Grace was awarded a $100 U.S. Savings bond and a John Deere bracelet by Marc Howze, Factory Manager of John Deere Turf Care. This year’s winning card design will be sent to the homes of Turf Care’s employees. Grace is a fourth grader at Penny Road Elementary in Cary. Her proud parents are Maggie and Paul Heide.
