photo by doug pietrowski Military Appreciation Monday drew a crowd of well over last year’s 1,000 veterans and active duty military officers for a free dinner at the Golden Corral Restaurant in Fuquay as part of the ninth annual “thank you” to the nation’s heroes. “It’s a very emotional time for all of us,” Stocks said. Hospitatlity and Catering Manager Susie Langdon added, “It’s a time that has become closer to our hearts in being able to give back to so many men and women.” Ms. Langdon’s father, Royce Brown, is a World War II veteran and former POW.
