Fuquay-Varina - Cindy Boone Sears, 53, was granted her angel wings on Wednesday, November, 11, 2009. Cindy was born on February 3, 1956. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that she had touched both physically and spiritually.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens.

Cindy’s life would seem far too short for many, but those who were touched by her understood the quality of live far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile and healing voice brought so much joy to family and friends. Cindy gave us courage and hope and reminded us daily of the love and healing touch of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Cindy was employed by North Carolina State University as the Director of Trademark Licensing. She had 32 years of loyal and dedicated service to the University.

She is survived by her parents, Frank Boone and Mary Jones Boone; husband, Calvin Sears; sons, Neal Sears and fiancé, Alicia Belle, Kyle Sears and wife, Heather; brothers, Frankie Boone and wife, Nancy and family, Daniel Boone and wife, Ruth and family, James Boone and wife, Robin and family; mother-in-law Doris Sears and late husband, Lacy Sears, brothers-in-law, William Sears and family and Mike Sears and family.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 13 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home and other times at the home, 4900 Allanbrooke Lane, Fuquay-Varina.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society of Wake County on behalf of Cindy Sears.
