Fuquay-Varina Police continues their investigation of a shooting that occurred Wednesday October 7, 2009 at 605 Bridge Street.

A warrant has been obtained for the arrest of Daniel Jerome Montgomery for First Degree Murder. Mr. Montgomery is under watch by Fuquay-Varina Police Officers until he is in a condition where the warrant can be served.

Officers were dispatched to a disturbance call at 6:13 a.m. Wednesday morning. When they arrived, they found Mr. Montgomery and Ms. Street on McLean Street with gun shot wounds. Montgomery’s injuries consisted of one gun shot wound to his chest.

The female, Jammie Shatel Street, 30, was fatally wounded from at least one gun shot wound.

The Fuquay-Varina Police Department has found at least 2 occasions in the past where Mr. Montgomery was arrested for Domestic Assault and Domestic Trespass involving Ms. Street.
