Ms. Cash has been singing professionally since leaving the TV News business. In 1993, Seldin Cash became involved with the Johnston Community College Country Music Showcase where she served as emcee and singer until 1998 when she was inducted into the JCC Country Music Hall of Fame. She emceed and performed in 100-shows a year at the Rudy Theater in Selma until 2005. Since then, she has been performing with various groups and as a solo artist,
presents a musical, “character education” program to elementary schools in six counties surrounding Wake, freelances as a scriptwriter for educational videos, and writes, produces, and appears in commercials for WRAL-TV.
Webb has established himself as a regular solo artist along the North Carolina Crystal Coast. He performs regularly at restaurants such as The Dockhouse, Tiki Bar at Fishtales and Church Street Irish Pub. His latest project is the formation of the band Acoustic Highway. Webb enjoys catering to his audience with his guitar playing and singing. The husband of Dee and father to Mitch and William, the Webbs currently reside in Fuquay-Varina. If you can't find him playing music, you will surely find him out on the golf course.
The October Country Music Showcase, called “Stars, Guitars and Country Legends,” will feature old, country standards and lots of comedy. With three performances, the show opens Friday, October 2nd at 7:00 p.m. in the Paul A. Johnston Auditorium on the Smithfield campus. Additional shows are scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Guest performers for the October shows also include Pam Durham, Taylor Fleming, Raymond Jones, Brant and Brandy Parker, and Erin Strickland.
Individual show tickets bought in advance are $10 for evening performances and $8 for the Saturday matinee. At the door, tickets are $12 for evening shows and $10 for the matinee.
