Military Missions In Action has recently received an email from a commander in Iraq; the following is a portion of that email:

"I am an Infantry Company Commander currently deployed to Iraq. I have 154 men in my Company. We only recently deployed and are not scheduled to return until July 2010 My Company resides in a remote combat outpost (one of the last of its kind). As such, we do not have regular access to normal amenities. I'm interested in your offer to send packages to deployed Soldiers. Care packages would be a great source of motivation for my men."

Everyday we go about our daily routine and take for granted our basic amenities. These men who are sacrificing so much deserve these basic amenities as well.

MMIA has adopted this unit for the duration of their deployment and will be collecting items to send care packages. We like to ensure that each of these 154 men get and individual package. Can you HELP!

Below is a list of items that they have requested. Please consider giving a small or large donation of items to support our troops.

If you would like to be a drop off location you may contact smaze@militarymissionsinaction.org

MMIA has drop off locations at the following locations:

Patriot State Bank 210 N Main Street, Fuquay Varina, NC 27526-1936

First United Methodist Church 402 N. Main Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526

MMIA Office 411-B North Judd Pkwy, NE, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526

My Soldiers would be very appreciative of anything you and your group send.

Some suggestions:

- Baby wipes

- Tooth brushes

- Toothpaste

- Foot powder

- Hand sanitizer

- Chapstick

- Unscented Bug Spray / Wipes

- Bubble gum

- Beef jerky

- Trail mix or nuts

Also, used magazines (cars, sports, guns) or DVDs would also be put to good use.

Thank you again for your continued support. My boys and I are working hard each day to ensure we all return safely..
