Get all the angles on fishing with a free clinic at the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores on Saturday, Sept. 26.

The fishing clinic, part of a monthly series, begins at 1:30 p.m. at the Aquarium.

Experienced angler Jeff McBane of the Aquarium’s Husbandry staff covers the basics of inshore and surf fishing in time for the area’s legendary fall fishing. Migration patterns bring prized game fish such as speckled trout, red drum, bluefish and flounder into North Carolina waters during the autumn months.

McBane discusses essentials such as knot-tying and selecting bait, tackle and equipment -- and whatever else participants would like to know.

The Aquarium is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $8 for ages 18-61; $7 for ages 62 and over and $6 for ages 6-17. Children 5 and under and North Carolina Aquarium Society members are admitted free. The Aquarium is five miles west of Atlantic Beach at 1 Roosevelt Blvd., Atlantic Beach, NC 28512. See www.ncaquariums.com or call 252-247-4003 for more information.
