Mrs. Ransdell was preceded in death by her husband, D. Morton Ransdell. They were married over 65 years and were owners of Ransdell Brothers Clothing Store. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed singing in the choir, big band music, spring days, beach in the summer, fall breezes and feeding the birds during a winter snow. For eighty years, she took all life had to offer and made the most of it.
We miss you mother and know that one day we will all be together again.
She is survived by daughters, Judy R. Walters of Fuquay-Varina and Gennie R. Pearce and husband, Douglas T. Pearce of Raleigh; son, David M. Ransdell, II of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Jennifer Walters, Gene Walters, Jonathan Walters, Angela Brickman, Greg Pearce, Stephanie Ellison, April Levesque, Derek Ransdell, Connie Ransdell and Aaron Hill; sister, Madeline Badovinac and husband, George of Waldorf, Maryland.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 10 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home and other times at the home of Judy Walters, 804 Alderleaf Drive, Fuquay-Varina.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Raleigh Office, 8300 Health Park, Suite 10, Raleigh, NC 27615 or the Fuquay-Varina Presbyterian Church Building Fund, PO Box 1126, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
