With thousands participating throughout the nation, a Willow Spring, NC resident was chosen as Second Prize Winner of the Purina Mills C.O.W. (Cattle Owners’ Workshop) Sweepstakes.

M.L.Stephenson was awarded a $1000 Cabela’s Gift Card. The sweepstakes promoted the C.O.W. series, an annual nationwide program for cattle owners featuring industry experts addressing topics such as cattle management techniques, nutrition, and herd health.

Attendees were eligible to enter the sweepstakes by attending one of the workshops throughout the country. Stephens participated in the C.O.W. seminar sponsored by Twin Oaks Feed and Supply the Purina Mills dealer in Willow Spring, NC

“Cattle producers are the heart of our business, and the C.O.W. series is a great opportunity for our customers and their fellow cattlemen to socialize and learn about Purina Mills’ new products and services,” says Mia Weaver, the Purina Mills representative for Twin Oaks Feed and Supply. “We’ve enjoyed hosting the C.O.W. series for the past seven years, and are pleased someone from our area won Second Prize.”

Producers who attended the workshops entered the sweepstakes with the chance to win nearly $41,800 in prizes including:

Grand Prize: One winner will receive a 2009 John Deere 2305 4WD Compact Tractor (24hp), Approximate Retail Value (ARV) $11,000. All license and registration fees, title fees, taxes, liability and physical damage insurance, and all other costs and expenses not specified, are not included and are the sole responsibility of the winner.

First Prizes: Two winners will each receive one 2009 John Deere EZtrak Z225 Zero Turn Mower, ARV $2,900.

Second Prizes: Twenty winners will each receive a $1,000 Cabela’s Gift Card, ARV $1,000.

Third Prizes: Ten winners will each receive one $500 Gift Certificate for Purina Mills® Wind and Rain Cattle Mineral with Altosid®, ARV $500.
