Alene Fish Baker, 74, passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 25, 2009, following a period of declining health and battle with cancer.

Alene is survived by her husband of 57 years, Thomas "Garland" Baker, son, Perry L. Baker, son, Dennis L. Baker and children, Jeremy Baker, Sandra Baker and Jacob Baker, Mary Barbour and child Ginna Barbour. Son, Alan T. Baker and wife SoDonna Baker and child Thomas Baker. Son-In-Law, Mike Kelley and children, Matthew Kelley and Nathan Kelley. Several nieces and nephews. Alene is preceded in death by her daughter, Wanda Baker Kelley and grandson, Joshua Thomas Baker.

Arrangements by Williford Funeral Home. The family will receive relatives and friends from 7 PM - 9 PM on Thursday, August 27 at Williford Funeral Home, 201 E. Academy Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC and other times at the home, 2691 Hwy. 42, Willow Spring, NC 27592. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM on Friday, August 28, 2009 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 1701 Bud Lipscomb Road, Willow Spring, NC with Dr. R. Jay Waggoner, Pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church officiating. Burial immediately following the service at Willow Spring Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Hilltop Road/Hwy. 42, Willow Spring, NC.

The Family and Garland is especially grateful to his and Alene's Fellowship Baptist "Church Family" for all their prayers, phone calls and support during this difficult time and the visits and food are very much appreciated.
