There are some days when everyone should remain out of the extreme heat, especially when temperatures rise near record highs. To help prevent heat-related illnesses, the White Flag Network offers homeless people access to cooling facilities when the heat index rises above 101 degrees Fahrenheit. The following facilities participate in the program and will display white flags through September 15, 2009.
