Alexis Williams, daughter of Alfonza and Brenda Williams of Holly Springs, was a candidate for Miss Teen of North Carolina. The Pageant was held July 24-26, at Greensboro College, in Greensboro. Alexis received The 2009 Miss Teen Of North Carolina Program Photogenic Award Formal Portraiture Award, 2009 Miss Teen Of North Carolina Program Achievement and Service Award, Miss Teen Of America Program award of Special Recognition for her Special Achievements as an Outstanding Teen.

Alexis is 16 years old and a rising Junior at Holly Springs High School in Holly Springs. Alexis is also a member of the National Honor Society. She models for John Casablanca. She attends St. Paul CME Church in Apex, under the leadership of Pastor Brenda Harrington and Presiding Elder Coteman. Alexis is active in her church, Assistant Secretary of Sunday School, Choir member. Drummer, Rossie T. Hollis, Missionary, member of St. Paul Step Team and Secretary of the children's Board of Christian Education in the Annual CME Conference.
