Fuquay-Varina Police Department investigate shooting

Fuquay-Varina Police are investigating a shooting that occurred today in the 100 block of Lawrence Street near West Jones Street.

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at 2:05 a.m. today. When they arrived, they found a female who appeared to have been shot. The female, Samanda Cradle, 21, was transported to Wake Medical Center in Raleigh to be treated for her injuries. Her injuries consisted of one gun shot wound to her lower torso that does not appear to be life threatening.

Another victim, a male 15 yrs old was located on Baytree Street where he fled after being shot. He was also transported to Wake Medical Center in Raleigh to be treated for his injuries in his upper thigh that do not appear to be life threatening.

The suspects were last seen driving away on Lawrence Street. The vehicle and the suspect were last seen leaving in was a late model blue in color Nissan Maxima or Altima with tinted windows.
