"Share Our Strength's Great American Bake Sale", is a national campaign that mobilizes Americans to end childhood hunger by holding bake sales in their communities.

Johnson Pond Learning Center in Fuquay-Varina and its school-age program will be hosting a Bake Sale for this cause. All classrooms are participating by either baking goods or making posters. Our families are also preparing baked goods. The date of the sale is Wednesday, August 12 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Please feel free to come by and purchase and/or donate to this cause, hopefully we can make our goal of $1,000.00. Also feel free to go to the "Share Our Strength" website and donate under our team name "JPLC Bake Sale", all proceeds are tax deductible.
