Erith Coley Powell, 91, passed away March 16, 2013 at Cary Rehab. Mrs. Powell was born in Wake County to the late E.E. and Erna Hill Coley. Her husband, Hoke C. Powell, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Powell is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Cassie P. and Lynwood Daniel and Frances P. and John Delamater and daughter-in-law Judy C. Powell. She was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Ellic C. and Martha G. Powell and son Kenneth H. Powell. Mrs. Powell is also survived by her grandchildren, Julie A. Dickens and husband Terry, Ellis Powell Jr. and wife Teresa, Harriett D. Carroll and husband Steve, Shelia Powell, Sandie Minor, Angie Powell, Charlie Powell and wife Jane, Bill Adams Jr. and wife Melissa, Craig Daniel and wife Georgia, Jennifer Powell, Scott Daniel and wife Jennifer, Sarah Ogburn and husband Joe, Hoke Powell and Karen Atwood and husband Zac; great grandchildren, Jennie Harrell, Emily Dickens, Katie Dickens, T.J. Dickens, Ellie Dickens, Anna Powell, Ellis Powell III, Dane Carroll, Natalie Carroll, Thomas Minor, Christopher Minor, Isaac Minor, Gwendolyn Powell, Carrie Powell, Trey Adams, Taylor Adams, Jackson Adams, Justin Daniel, Garrett Daniel, Cole Daniel, Chase Powell, Will Daniel, Colby Daniel, Joseph C. Ogburn II, Carlie Ogburn, Dawson Rose Atwood, Sidney Atwood and Lilly Atwood.

Mrs. Powell was married to Hoke C. Powell 58 years and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Erith and Hoke worked side by side in the furniture and antique business for more than 50 years. She was a lifetime member at Wake Chapel Christian Church where she sang in the choir. All will truly miss her.

There was a graveside service on Tuesday, March 19 at 11 a.m. at Wake Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Ross Marion officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wake Chapel Cemetery Funds, 905 Wake Chapel Road, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
