On behalf of the Fuquay-Varina Athletic Association, Rob Sedivy, Classic coordinator for Soccer and FVAA Board member, accepted a new John Deere ZTrak 930M 72” mower from John Deere Turf Care’s factory manager Rosalind E. Peebles Fox at the Highway 55 facility. Members of the Turf Care team who played a role in arranging this donation were on hand for the event.

This new zero-turn mower will benefit all recreation and sports fields used by the association and is a welcomed donation to the FVAA’s efforts to control equipment expenses. Previously, fields have been cut by volunteers using personal mowers.

Fox expressed her appreciation for the community efforts and programs administered by the FVAA in which many of the Turf Care employees and their families enjoy participating.

The FVAA organizes and coaches community teams in soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball, basketball, football, dance troupe and cheerleading on nine fields and various facilities throughout the year.

J.G. Baker, FVAA equipment and facilities manager, looks forward to years of quality mowing with the ZTrak 930. He received safety training at Turf Care as part of the equipment acquisition.

John Deere Turf Care has been a member of the local business community, manufacturing equipment in Fuquay-Varina for both Commercial Mowing and Golf Course maintenance since 1997.

In the weeks ahead, the FVAA plans to announce dedication of the John Deere Turf Care Field, located near Bakertown Road in Fuquay-Varina.
