The Fuquay-Varina Woman’s Club will hold its second annual Christmas Tour on Dec. 8 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served until 4:30 p.m. at the Woman’s Club House. There will be three houses in the historic district, two new homes in Avalon Springs-off Holland Road, two locations in the established prime properties of the 1950’s, featuring a lovely cottage of Becky Thomas and Pat and Bob Baker’s masterpiece home place.
The final area of the tour is the grand house of Wendy and Tim Murphy in the High Grove Subdivision just north of Fuquay-Varina. All nine homes and six businesses will share wonderful holiday decorations and special tales of these unique locations in Fuquay-Varina. Raffles, drawings and refreshments will be served at The Woman’s Club House at 602 North Ennis Street in Fuquay-Varina.
Tickets may be purchased at The Garden Hut on 1004 Old Honeycutt Road or David Anthony’s Gifts at 542 N. Main Street and at the Woman’s Club the day of the tour.
This year, the tour also will feature six businesses with three in the Historic District and three others that are offering a 10 percent discount to ticket holders for items purchased that day. Tour guests are encouraged to get their tickets early and shop for the holidays at these featured businesses and many other wonderful shops in town. The proceeds will go to help support the scholarships, grants and other wonderful community activities of the club.
Come and enjoy a day in Fuquay-Varina on Dec. 8. Check the Chamber for more morning activities.
