Mrs. Daniel is preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Daniel; brothers, Glenn and Russell Goss; and sisters, Celia Goss Brooks, Julia Goss Judd, Dorris Goss and Ruth Goss Cozart.

Lois was the seventh child, born to Thomas Claude Goss and Sally Copley Goss on June 25, 1923, in Stem, N.C. She grew up in Fuquay Springs, N.C., with her brothers and sisters. Lois always recalled her childhood years with great joy, laughter and love. She played basketball at Fuquay Springs High School and graduated in 1940. After graduating, Lois attended Hardbarger Business College in Raleigh, N.C. She worked for James Judd, her brother-in-law, at the Varina Knitting Company for eight years. Lois then became the assistant to Mr. Jesse O. Sanderson, superintendent of the Raleigh City Schools, and worked there until 1957.

In January 1956, Lois married her dear husband, Charles Daniel. They made their home in Fuquay-Varina where they raised their three children. In later years, Lois delighted in working for her wonderful friend, Susie Howell Williams, at Rainbow Home Interiors. Lois moved to Windsor Point Retirement Home in 2010 where she enjoyed her time with former classmates and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Claudia Daniel Henneberry, and son-in-law, Scott Michael Henneberry, of Franklin, Tenn.; her son, Charles William Daniel, of Fuquay-Varina; her son, Roy Clifton Daniel, and daughter-in-law Cassandra Emery Daniel of Orlando, Fla. She also is survived by her precious grandchildren, Samantha Daniel, Caroline Henneberry, Caitlyn Henneberry, Benjamin Daniel and Kai Daniel and many nieces and nephews.

We love you, Mom, and will truly miss your hugs, your support, your cooking, your laughter and your love.
