Downtown Bounty is a celebration of fresh local foods and community spirit planned for Saturday, Sept. 29 from 3 to 7 p.m. Local farmers, restaurants and downtown merchants will come together to celebrate a day of Downtown Bounty in the historic Varina shopping district. There will be music, vendors, merchant specials and an assortment of family fun that is sure to become a signature event in downtown Fuquay-Varina.
Restaurants, like Golden Corral, On the Snap and a new restaurant called The Meeting Corner (opening soon in the downtown Fuquay district) will be offering delicious samples from their menu’s. We have eight Brunswick Stew contestants competing to win the grand prize and prove their stew reigns supreme over all others. Come out and ‘sample’ the fun! Fuquay-Varina’s farmers will be there selling produce, canned goods and more - plus, expect some surprises from our very own Growers Market Manager and Chef, Joseph Fasy. A dunking booth and three bouncy houses will sure to keep the kids entertained as well.
