If you are planning to participate in Tax Free Weekend, I would encourage you to think beyond your immediate needs and plan for the year. When purchasing supplies that are considered tax free, I would encourage you to think about not only what you need in the next few weeks, but what also what you may need until the next tax free holiday. I know that on several occasions I have told you that I am not a believer of stockpiles. However, I am a believer of planning.
For example, this would be a great weekend for purchasing children’s shoes. This is a great chance to get children’s shoes for the school year and possibly purchase another pair in a large size so you are prepared if your children hit a growth spurt.
I also would purchase sporting items for my children’s extracurricular items. I find these items do not go on sale very often, so buying the items tax free is the best time to get the great deal.
Computer paper and computer supplies are also items that typically do not go on sale. This would be the time I would encourage you to buy them.
Did you get a great deal for Tax Free Weekend? We would love to hear about it. E-mail them to localnews2005@yahoo.com
