Deepest sympathy goes to the family of Mr. Max Dayton Smith who died Tuesday, January 24, 2012. Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 27., at Kipling United Methodist Church with interment following at the Smith family cemetery in Kipling.

At 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29, rush Metropolitan AME Zion Church in raleigh and pastor, Rev. Claude E. Willie, hosted the Varick Christian Endeavor Society program. Miss Mary Matthews, director of Varick Christian Endeavor, the youth and children of the district, presented their talents. They were interesting and entertaining. The meeting was well attended. Rev. Linda McLean pastor and husband, Mr. Fred McLean, and daughter, Miss Whitney McLean, along with Mrs. Frances Matthews and Ms. Annie Bullock, attended this service.

At 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12, Rev. Linda McLean pastor of Bethlehem AME Zion Church and members invite the public to come, worship and share in this glorious service. Guest speaker will be Rev. Mable Robinson pastor of Cameron Grove Baptist Church, choir and congregation of Durham. We welcome you to come and join us in lifting up the name of Jesus.
