More than 800 teens took the pledge “I will not drink and drive. I will be a wiser driver” last Saturday. Community mourns loss of Holly Springs town manager
The community mourned the unexpected and sudden death of Holly Springs Town Manager Carl Dean last week after Dean died during a community golf tournament. He served Holly Springs for several years, his death was felt across Wake and Harnett Counties. According to a statement released by the Town of Holly Springs, Dean, 56, died the afternoon of May 2. Town faces setbacks on community projects, has to spend more
Despite setbacks, the town board will go forward with two major projects in Fuquay-Varina. Town manager Jon Barlow requested additional funding for the dog park and the Falcon Park shelter renovation Monday night at the board meeting.
