Ken’s Korny Corn Maze in association with Ken’s Produce and Garden Center has partnered with the North Carolina Governor’s Highway Safety Program to promote the “Booze It & Lose lt” & “Click lt or Ticket” campaigns.
Ken Walker of Ken’s Korny Corn Maze says that the issue of safe driving is paramount. When Ken Walker does something he goes big, he wants to pack a punch. This time he did just that, what better way to get his message across than plant the seed of a message into a corn field. Walker said he wants to plant that message into someone’s head.
Walker states that he has been operating his corn maze since 1999 and tries to educate the public while entertaining them.
“l am tired of seeing lives leave-this earth so early. lt has to stop, that is why we do what we do” said Walker.
Ken’s Korny Corn Maze is North Carolinas first and longest operating Corn Maze. They have been operating a corn maze and agritourism site since August of 1999. Ken’s Produce & Garden Center, which Walker started in 1970, is located directly beside the Corn Maze attraction.
Walker says there is plenty to do with the entire family.
“We have a Six Acre Corn Maze with over 2 1/2 miles of paths, an 8,000 square foot rope maze, plenty of farm cutouts making great photo opportunities, playground equipment, barnyard animals, miniature golf, hay barn, corn crib and picnic areas for the kids, there is just so much to do. We try to make it so everyone has fun, the adults can even let go and be a kid again.”
Ken’s Korny Corn Maze is located just 4 miles south of Garner at 3175 Benson Road in Garner.
