Tuesday, July 10, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. – Job Assistance Job seekers are encouraged to visit Eva Perry Regional Library to meet with an AmeriCorps/JobLink volunteer who will assist with resume preparation, job hunting techniques and interview preparation. Wednesday, July 11, 2-3 p.m. – Computer Tutor Hour People of all ages who need computer help are invited to come to Southeast Regional Library for a tutoring. The hour will include learning how to set up an email account, format resumes with Microsoft Word, create posters with Microsoft Publisher, find Consumer Report articles in the library databases and more. Wednesday, July 18, 4-5 p.m. – Nocturnal Animals of Umstead Park Kids ages six to 10 are invited to Cary Community Library to meet Billy Hartness, a park ranger at Umstead State Park, and to learn about the nocturnal animals that live in the park. Saturday, July 21, 2:30-3:30 p.m. – Star Wars Celebration Star Wars fans of all ages are invited to celebrate all things Star Wars at Cameron Village Regional Library. Women’s Club shares the ‘puppy’ love

The Fuquay-Varina Woman’s Club Public Issues Community Service Program collected items for the SPCA of Wake County from the club members. The group made a delivery Jan. 28 that included eight bottles of bleach, 10 boxes of dog treats, one large container of small dog treats, various small packages of dog treats, paper towels, seven cans of canned dog food, Kitten Chow and a $25 donation.  Darci VanderSlik accepted the donations along with one of the puppies for adoption.
