Seven members of the Fuquay Cruisers Car Club attended the 24th Annual Festival and Car Show in Carthage North Carolina on Saturday, May 12. There were over 100 registered participants from the surrounding areas. All of the cruisers received trophies. Several members of the Fuquay Cruisers Car Club attended a Meet and Greet session held at the local Krispy Kreme doughnut shop Saturday morning May 12 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. The event was held to introduce 14-year-old Gray Gaulding the driver of the Krispy Kreme #2 car. Gray is one of the youngest drivers in the All-Stars Series PASS racing class. Club member Thomas Cotton arranged the cruisers participation with local store manager Ron Driver. After the morning event several of the cruisers traveled to Southern National Speedway in Kenly, North Carolina to watch Gray race the #2 Krispy Kreme car. He won the 125 lap event leading the entire race from flag to flag.
