Wake County’s record holder for most goals in a season - Fuquay-Varina’s Adrian Gonzales - has signed to play at Louisburg Junior College for the next two seasons.
Gonzales scored 56 goals for the Bengals this season. That number ranks 10th in NCHSAA history and first in the 4A classification.
“He’s just so unpredictable,” said Fuquay-Varina coach James Mountford, “He’ll dribble, go to goal and try to beat three or four players. Or if you don’t close him down, he’ll (score from outside the box). … He can do so many things.” “Adrian is the best pure finisher I have ever seen in High School.”
