The South Wake Relay for Life will be held on May 18 and 19 at Holly Grove Middle School. Town staff, Fuquay-Varina Downtown and the Fuquay-Varina Chamber have joined together to form Team Fuquay-Varina to raise funds for the Relay for Life and walk at the event. Everyone is welcome to join Team Fuquay-Varina. Cancer has touched everyone in some way. Please join the team or donate money at www.fuquay-varina.org/relay.

Those unable to join Team Fuquay-Varina still can help. The first of two barbecue fundraisers will be held on April 12 in downtown Fuquay-Varina. There are tons of events happening in downtown on April 12, including the En Plein Air, Cruise-In and Spring into the Arts events. Visit the Team Fuquay-Varina barbecue booth on Vance Street from 5 to 8 p.m. Plates will be sold for $8 a plate. Good eating for a great cause. All money will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life which helps fund research for the cure to cancer.
