On Sept. 21-23, Troop 320 “Orange Crush” traveled to Camp Mackall at Fort Bragg. The group went with Scoutmaster Glen Traylor and Assistant Scoutmaster Fred Burt.

While there for the weekend, the troop’s younger scouts worked on rank advancements. The main badge focused on during the trip was animal tracking. The boys also helped pick up trash along the road where they were camping.

They toured the Air Borne Museum as well as other museums at Fort Bragg. The troop also visited the gravesite of Traylor’s father.

“Mr. Traylor told us that we need to remember that the great freedoms we have are not free,” Troop 320 Historian Louis Frink said. “Men and women are out there making sure that you and I get to keep our freedoms.”
