Luby Benjamin Ingram, 82, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012. A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at South Raleigh Church of God, 6105 Fayetteville Road, Raleigh, NC.

He is preceded in death by a son, Ricky Jarvis Ingram.

Luby was born in Sampson County. He worked in construction with Bowers Construction for 29 years as a truck driver hauling heavy equipment. Then he went to work with North Carolina Department of Transportation for 26 years. He retired December 23, 2009 at the age of 79. He was called Grand Pa by many and will be missed so much,

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Martha McDonald Ingram; daughter, Doris I. Johnson and husband Jimmy of Willow Spring; sons, Lowell Thomas Ingram and wife, Joan of Angier, and Donald Wayne Ingram and wife, Ellen of Fuquay-Varina; nine grand children, William Dallas Frank, Melissa Dawn Lucas, Ronda Elaine Demayo, Angelia Fletcher, Patricia Ann Green, Lowell “TJ” Thomas, II, Kevin Lee Ingram, Kathy Ann Holmes, and Melissa Ingram; twelve great-grand children, Tamara Franks, Miriah and Cameron Lucas, JT, Frankie Jr, Andrew and Lorli Demayo, Hayley Marie, Dylon, Jubilee, and Logan Green, and Nolan Holmes; sister, Rosie Davis; and brother, Roscoe Person.
