A celebration honoring the life work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is scheduled for January 21, 2013. The event includes a community march beginning at Fuquay Varina Middle School ending at Lincoln Heights Elementary School on Bridge Street. Breakfast will be served beginning at 9:15am, followed by a program at 10:00am. The program features messages from two individuals, Ms. Jovita Simons, entrepreneur and member of First Baptist Church located at the corner of N. West and Academy Streets in Fuquay-Varina, NC and Minister Bobby Evans of Fayetteville, NC, employed by Fayetteville State University. Music will be provided by the Community Youth Choir of Bunn, NC.
