Mrs. Dawn Fall's second grade class at Cleveland Elementary School participated in "Read Across America" on March 2, 2010. Many parents and even a grandparent came into the class to read to the students. Mrs. Jo James, a theater arts teacher at Cleveland, also came into the room and read to the students dressed as the cat in the hat. The students learned about Dr. Seuss and celebrated his birthday by reading many various books written by him. The parents also talked to the students about why reading was important to them and what books they enjoyed when they were children.
